Bottles & Bones (Shade & Sympathy)

I went on a bike ride today. I got given the spare bike. They called it the 'bone-rattler'. I did not understand this until we were riding. The wheels are very thin. I remembered very quickly to stand up on the pedals when I went over bumps. We had to take the 'bone-rattler' to the bike shop before we started. It was called 'Cycle Heaven'. It had notices in the windows about being careful on roads and paying attention to traffic lights. I got a new inner-tube for my front wheel, and some new tape, and both of my tyres needed pumping up. My bike looked very old when they put it in the contraption for holding bikes at a workable level. All the other bikes looked expensive and new. I suddenly devloped a fondness of my shabby flimsy bike. The seat wasn't very comfortable, but the brakes worked which was good because I had to stop on more than one occasion to let butterflies go past or decide which way they wanted to fly.

I think I'd like to go on another bike ride tomorrow. I forgot how much I liked riding.
